Sustainability & DEI Mission
Mitigation. Recycling. Reclamation. We handle it.™
CSU Industries is committed to responsible manufacturing practices that reduce environmental impact while maintaining the quality and performance our partners expect.
CSU Industries is dedicated to socially and environmentally responsible business practices.
Through thoughtful engineering, responsible material management, and efficient manufacturing practices, CSU Industries strives to reduce excess, conserve resources, and support more sustainable construction outcomes for our partners and the communities we serve.
When conservation matters, we handle it.
Sustainability
Digital Waste Mitigation
Our CabinetVision software allows us to gang parts as closely as possible on one sheet to minimize waste.
Digital OptimizationOur sustainability approach begins during the drafting and engineering phase of every project, where parts are digitally optimized for CNC machining to maximize material yield and utilize each sheet as efficiently as possible. By minimizing excess during the design stage, we reduce waste 85% - 90% before fabrication even begins.
Material Reuse & Upcycling
Our millwork machinery utilize state of the industry dust collection systems for shop cleanliness and recycling ease.
Scrap and Excess Material ReuseThroughout production, any usable offcuts and material remnants are carefully sorted and reused in future projects whenever possible. Materials that cannot be reused are responsibly diverted through recycling or upcycling programs.
Sawdust and Stone UpcyclingSawdust and stone particulate generated during fabrication are collected and repurposed for uses such as garden mulch, donated, or processed through appropriate recycling channels.
Water & Energy Consumption
CSU Industries does not use any water during fabrication for a net zero impact.
Waterless FabricationCSU Industries’ manufacturing methods do not require water during fabrication or construction activities, eliminating water waste from our production environment.
Energy StewardshipOur facilities incorporate energy conscious practices, using operationally efficient equipment and technologies to inherently reduce electricity and natural gas consumption.
Community
Logistical Efficiencies
CSU works with logistics partners that implement carbon offset programs and advanced operational technologies to reduce the environmental impact of transportation and deliveries. From route optimization and consolidated shipments to fuel-efficient fleets and emissions tracking, our partners are aligned with our commitment to responsible operations.
Where emissions cannot be eliminated, verified carbon offset programs are utilized to help neutralize environmental impact—ensuring that every delivery supports a more sustainable supply chain.
